Part memoir, part myth, part spiritual cartography, this book offers a deeply feminine path through transformation. It does not promise quick answers or final destinations. Instead, it offers a lived map of descent, reckoning, and return – woven from soil, spirit, story, and soul.

Story Behind the Book
Her Dark Earth and Gold began with two unexpected catalysts.
The first came in the spring of 2020, when the Gene Keys arrived in my life, offering structure, purpose, and a profound new lens for understanding transformation.
The second had been smouldering in the background for years: a call to respond to the felt needs of women.
In 2019, while leading a multi-agency hub in the southwest of England, I began to witness a marked rise in women facing crisis, homelessness, trauma, poverty, violence. We designed a service rooted in strength and resilience, not deficit. And we invited 60 women to a summit to reimagine what support could look like.
The first workshop was led by a woman who would change everything.
She brought with her wild horse-skin drums, ancient songs, and the presence of a lineage long denied: the hearth wisdom of ancestral women, keepers of fire and field. Something awoke in me that day—an inner knowing I couldn’t yet name, but had to follow.
A Return to the Hearth
In the years that followed, especially during the pandemic’s collective unravelling, I felt the loss of power, orientation, and meaning – personally and culturally. And yet, alongside the disorientation, a fire was kindled. I was invited into a thirteen-moon apprenticeship with this woman of the land – one that brought me back to soul, earth, myth, and feminine lineage.
While working full time in community leadership and pandemic response, I quietly began to write, remember, and reorient. Her Dark Earth and Gold tells the story of that inner journey, part lived memoir, part alchemical myth, part transmission of the new feminine path emerging.
A Book. A Gathering Space. A Field
The book is nearly finished.
Its name is a spell. A reclamation. A gift.

is the place we’ve buried our brilliance.
It is the womb beneath the world.
It is the deep feminine field where treasure lies waiting.
And now, it is rising.
Workshops based on the Her Dark Earth and Gold journey are in development for 2025. They will stand alone and also complement the Dâno-Leino retreats -offering a way to dive deeper into the mystery, the myth, and the real work of becoming.
